Denis Edwards

Barrister at Temple Tax Chambers, Denis is a highly experienced tax barrister, called to the Bar in 2002 and the Scottish Bar in 2012, with a strong background in public and EU law. He specialises in VAT, customs duties, and tax compliance, regularly advising and representing both taxpayers and HMRC in complex litigation, including judicial reviews and tribunal appeals. A member of the Attorney General’s B Panel of Counsel, Denis has also co-authored a leading textbook on judicial review and continues to teach and deliver training in tax and legal subjects both in the UK and internationally. His recent work spans major cases in the Supreme Court and Court of Appeal, as well as advisory roles on a wide range of tax matters.
